Definition: The Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) for Microsoft .NET credential is for professionals who use Microsoft technologies to develop and maintain department-level applications, components, Web or desktop clients, or back-end data services.
To Obtain:
- Must pass two core exams and one elective exam.
- Exams for the MCAD are still in development. Microsoft suggests taking the available exams and prepare for upcoming exams. Also become familiar with the newest advancements within Visual Studio .NET
- Exams cost approximately $125 each.
- An updated list of exams and information regarding this new certification is available on Microsoft.com.
