Unix
 
Definition: A certification designed for individuals who support and administer SCO UnixWare or OpenRelease Server.

To Obtain:

  • Must pass two exams in your chosen track. Tracks available are Unix and OpenServer.
  • For the Unix track you must pass SCO UnixWare 7 Administration, and SCO UnixWare 7 Network Administration.
  • For the OpenServer track you must pass SCO OpenServer Release 5 Administration, and SCO OpenServer Release 5 Network Administration.
  • Exams run from $125 to $180.
  • Exams are open book and contain between 40 and 80 questions. Time is limited two hours and you must pass with a score of 80% or higher.
  • It is recommended, although not required, that you recertify every year by taking a 2-hour comprehensive exam.
