CCIE - Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
This expert level certification is one of the most respected in the industry and will demonstrate your level of Cisco networking expertise, design savvy, and trouble-shooting ability for large, diverse networks.

Additional References from Cisco: Free
Written Exam: $300
Lab Exam: $1250
Total Approximate Cost: $1600 (you will most likely need several more books and/or training so this is a conservative estimate)

Cisco Qualified Specialist
The Cisco Qualified Specialist will demonstrate compentancy in a specific area. You must hold an associate certification or higher to qualify for a specialist designation. Each specialty will require from one to four exams and each exam costs $125 to $250. Recertification is required every two by taking the current exam.
