One
of the most intensive certifications available is the PMP (Project Management
Professional) certification. Offered by PMI (Project Management Institute),
the PMP demonstrates advanced knowledge of and experience with Project Management
concepts. When it comes to finding internet resources and practice exams,
it is also one of the most difficult and obscure certifications. As a result
of several emails asking for this information, and quite a bit of research,
here are the best places to find information on the PMP cert.
PMP
Training
Most training for the PMP
certification is both intensive and costly, but the PMP is generally considered
a good investment. According to my 2002 certification salary survey, individuals
with a PMI cert averaged $90,000 per year. Fortunately, good practice questions
are just beginning to appear on popular training sites so you can get an
idea of where your strengths and weaknesses lay before taking the exam.

You can download three PMI prep exams. They cover 9 knowledge areas and
5 process groups and cost $39.95 each. A free 12 question demo is also
available for download.

Certification
It's not exactly an exam prep, but you can test your knowledge of project
management concepts for just $49.95.
RMC
Project Management, Inc.
RMC offers several self-study products from software to books. They range
in prices from $24 to $393.
PM
Training
PM Training offers several courses to help you prepare for your PMP exam.
Each of the 13 courses offered is $200.
Cheetah
Learning
Get intensive training with this five-day program. You will take the PMP
exam at the end of the five days. Tution is $2695 US and the company offers
training worldwide.

Project
Manager Training
This company offers web-based training for several PM topics. Take the
PMP basic concepts course for $800.
4PM.com
PMP exam prep training is offered online for $1400. This includes two
courses: Basic Concepts and Essentials.
Learning
Tree - UK
Although not specifically directed towards the PMP exam, these courses
will earn PDU credits and help you prepare. Prices vary according to packages
but run from £591 to £1,815. USA
