Practice Tests

There are several types of practice tests out there. Many sites, like this one, host a small amount of free questions to help you test your readiness for an exam. Other sites offer software that you can purchase on CD or download with a large bank of practice questions. Many of these also offer study guides or detailed descriptions with each question. Prices start at $30 and go up into the hundreds depending on quality and features. You can also purchase online practice tests and training, which will also range in price depending on features and support options.

Books

Books are often the least expensive and simplest way to study for your exams. If you already have some knowledge of your subject, they are a great way to prepare. Most certification books come with practice questions on cd and various other bits of software and helpful study tools.

Study Tips and Guides

There is quite a bit of free information out there in whitepapers and study guides. These can be used as supplements to your training and study, especially when you are looking for the most updated information. It is always a good idea to go directly to the website of the vendor or sponsor of your certification and see what online sources they may recommend.
