Description: The Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals(ICCP) was one of the first certifying authorities for computer professionals. The ICCP offers the Certified Computing Professionals(CCP).
Costs: The C and C++ courses from Learning Tree International as substitutions for the ICCP C and C++ exams. Sample tests are available from the ICCP. To take an ICCP test, send your application and $145 USD for a language test to ICCP. The exams are administered by Thompson Prometric.
Requirements: A CCP designation is conferred upon anyone who:
- Passes the examinations with a minimum passing score of 70% or higher.
- Meets the experience requirement.
- Signs a document agreeing to comply with the ICCP Codes of Ethics, Conduct and Good Practice.
To earn the CCP designation, you must pass the Core exam and two specialty exams at 70% or higher. Two language exams can be substituted for one of the specialty exams.
