If you are looking for a dual purpose study guide, on that is both useful for the exam and as a troubleshooting reference, then Cisco IP Routing Protocols is a good choice. This no-nonsense technical guide to troubleshooting IP protocols in multiple environments, including LAN, VLAN, and WAN, does it's job well. Each chapter addresses the features of the routing protocol, isolating problems, and resolution of problems. Tables, figures, and other graphical tools are well-used and well-placed. The introduction gives a useful presentation of troubleshooting techniques and approaches.
The only issue with the book as a study guide is that it is not very exam-oriented. You will not find exam tips, objectives, or any references to exam material. There are also no review questions in the book. A CD is included and contains all of the figures, tables and source code from the book as well as a "question bank" to test your knowledge of the material. The CD is a bit clumsy and the question bank is a very simple program that contains 138 questions. However, for the price, both the book and CD contain extremely good information.
