Definition: The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credential is for professionals who have the skills to successfully implement a Microsoft product or technology as part of a business solution in an organization. This certification is the first step to any advanced Microsoft cert and requires only one exam.

To Obtain:
- Must complete one current, non-retired Microsoft exam.
- Exams cost approximately $125.
- Comprehensive and updated list of exams is available on Microsoft.com.
- It is recommended that if you intend to pursue additional Microsoft certifications that you select an exam from the desired certification track.
- Recertification is not required but as exams are retired or tracks are redesigned you must pass the replacement exam(s).
