Definition: Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification is the premier Microsoft desktop certification, a globally recognized standard for demonstrating desktop skills.

To Obtain:
- Select one of three tracks: Office XP, Office 2000, or Office 97.Within each track you can receive a Core (one exam), Expert (one exam), or Master certification (five exams).
- Exams cost approximately $125.
- Comprehensive and updated list of exams is available on Microsoft.com.
- Recertification is not required but as exams are retired or tracks are redesigned you must pass the replacement exam(s).
