The Bottom Line
I used AssessPREP to prepare for the Site Designer v5 beta exam and found it to be very representative of the actual test material. This is definitely the best product available to help you become CIW v5 certified.
- Excellent, test quality questions
- Four individual modes of study
- Good number of questions offered
- Great customer service and tech support
- None
Description
- Great questions. I know I said that above, but it is worth repeating.
- There was very little repitition of questions.
- Explanations are as good as the questions.
- I had a couple of small complaints with options and navigation, but nothing serious.
- AssessPREP would be very effective used with the classroom materials and/or training.
- If you can pass each practice exam and quiz with 90% or better you will ace the test.
Guide Review - AssessPREP for Site Designer v5
Each full practice test, of which there are 5 for each exam on the CD, allows four modes of study: Assessment, Study, Certification, and Flash. Each mode offers different features that are useful depending on what level of study you need. There are also several focused quizzes available, but for some reason 'Assessment' and 'Certification' modes were always disabled for the quizzes. Assessment mode would be particularly helpful when using the actual training classes offered by ComputerPREP, as it tracks your weak areas and tells you what to study in the student manuals.
This bundle costs $285 for an individual license, or you can purchase each exam seperately for $125. These are competitive prices for this quality. You might find cheaper practice questions, but you won't find better.
The folks at ComputerPREP are working on official self-study materials, unrelated to their courseware. I am eager to see the products if the material is as impressive as that on the practice tests.
