Simple File Sharing is a security feature that is used by all computers running on the Windows XP workgroup whether they are using the FAT or NTFS file system. With Simple File Sharing, a user can share objects with either everyone or no one. Simple File Sharing cannot be used for sharing objects among specific users. It is enabled by default when a home office network with Windows XP is created.
