70-271 Study Tip - What is a stop error?

A Stop error is identified by a ten digit hexadecimal number. It occurs when a computer detects a condition from which it cannot recover. It is also referred to as blue screen or fatal system error. This error generally occurs during the Windows XP installation process when the text mode phase of the setup finishes and the GUI mode phase begins.
